(Above) NIGHT BEFORE (about 4:30am)

He's the man -- a little worse for the wear, but he's alive. The thesis was turned in at 4pm yesterday. He still has to write his defense talk, but it's not as tough as getting that pervasive, haunting 143 page document submitted. We're so proud of him, and we hope he will have only a short stint of PTSD to deal with. In these pictures is also Cort tearing up the sign I hung up on the kitchen cupboard two months ago, because he was doing dishes to procrastinate going upstairs and working:
It is now where it should be: in the garbage.

oh, Cort! Great work - and yes, now it's time to find us an alternative fuel - and seriously guys, this morning we were cleaning for a house showing we have today and I just pulled up your blog page and let the playlist do the rest - everyone's singin - it's a great day - great tunes! Funny, Mark always washes the dishes too - wonder what he's procrastinating?
and also - "SWEET CAROLINE... BAH beh DA!"
Way to go!
Congratulations Cort! We're so proud of you. You made it! We can't wait to visit you in NM.
