ABC?

I'm so excited that I've FINALLY been tagged by the blogosphere. Thank you, Brigette!

A- Attached or Single? – Attached, but I do like Kraft American Singles.
B- Best Friend? – Anyone who posts comments on my blog (but what a jerk would I be not to give a BFF shout out to Carrie whose birthday is today! Love you, Care)
C- Cake or Pie? – I lived too long in New England, I have to go with APPLE PIE: I even remember the best piece of apple pie: November 2005: Vermont, at the Kleppner's home -- For hours, we had been playing out on their beautiful widespread lawn with crunchy colorful autumn leaves up to our knees when Dan's wife, Bea brought home a pie from a stand -- must have used 15 apples to make it -- the crust was perfect, the apples were perfectly tender but not mushy, perfect combination of cinnamon and sugar. It was still warm, and we ate it with creamery ice cream. Ethan was 5, Elliot just 2, and we all had this dreamy look on our faces. I will never ever forget that day!
D- Day of Choice? – Saturday because Cort's home all day
E- Essential item? (don't have one, so here's my essential list to get to the gym): iPod, cell phone, Real Simple, water, and wedding ring
F- Favorite color? – to wear: brown, to look at: blue
G- Gummy bears or Worms? BEARS
H- Hometown? – Great Falls, Montana
I- Favorite Indulgence? – since moving? Sonic Fried Ice Cream Blast -- had it for the first time last week and now I have to drive different routes so I don't drive past a Sonic -- which is tricky here
J- January or July? – July -- can't stand the post-Christmas winter doldrums
K- Kids? – three - two boys and a queen
L- Life isn’t complete without: laughter and tears
M- Marriage Date? – April 24
N- Number of Brothers and Sisters? – 6 brothers and 5 sisters (my in laws all count)
O- Oranges or Apples? – Apples -- oranges are too pithy, like my humor
P- Phobias or Fears? – too many to count -- heights, which made living on the 23rd floor of a high rise replete with many recurring nightmares (which have stopped since moving to the ranchhouse -- another to write on my list of why I'm thankful to move -- which is not a long list, so adding one is a good thing)
Q- Quote? – This will shock Anna, but I'm not going to quote myself... Oh, my kids lines are my favorite quotes, and I love ridiculous quotes from TV ("Bart! Don't make fun of grad students. They just made a terrible life choice." (Marge Simpson). To pick one for inspiration: "Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them." Richard L. Evans or another great one, "A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave." Ghandi
R- Reason to Smile? – When my kids are being kind to one another, when my husband gives me a look that reminds me of when we were in high school, the smell of a newborn baby, loving someone so intoxicatingly that you feel your heart is going to burst right out of your chest, sunsets, girls nights out, rainy day movie marathons, catching up with old friends, ... there's lots of reasons to smile...
S- Season of Choice? – Fall in New England... and I'm hoping winter in New Mexico?
T- Tag up to Ten People? – CRISTIE, KIM, MARIAN, KIMBERLEY S., BECKY, JENNY B., ANNA, TORIA, AND LACI
U- Unknown Fact about Me? – I love the Shopaholic book series -- total guilty pleasure (Ok, Cristie knows this, but no one else does)
V- Vegetable? – red bell peppers
W- Worst Habit? – I have SOOO many... so I will pull one randomly from a hat: I roll my eyes... a lot. But it's very nearly subconscious... does that get me off the hook?
X- X-Ray? -- with a hip replacement? You better believe it! My corpse will undoubtedly glow in the dark...
Y- Your Favorite Food? – unfortunately, probably anything you could drive up to a window and order (which also falls into the worst habit category). But I'm starting to drop that, and I really love cooking again in our new house: I make a mean basil chicken mozzarella grilled sandwich. Oh, and Thai food.
Z- Zodiac Sign? - Leo

Corey, I miss you. How about you come and visit, okay? Okay. Give those kids a big hug for me.

Corey, you're so much the greatest, and you have no idea how much I cherish and have cherished you too! You and Cort are better examples to me than I ever was to anyone! In fact I find myself wanting to pick Kaye's brain about certain parenting issues now and then cause I always - so looked up to the everything about their family! You have to tell me specifically about the 'push' I gave you when we were cross country skiing - I actually remember a lot about that day but I'm curious about this 'push' now! Thank you for your comments - and 'drama' of any kind seems so far from me now - and I'm thankful - all those characters... well they pulled me in way to much back then - and I've stayed away since I realized that... oh sorry long comment again - I never mean to! Newman! ...Carrie, like Carrie Cook?
