rain rain go away for graduation

8:45am -- report to Killian Court reserved seats -- swanky!
when we arrived it was drizzling and kindof chilly -- while we sat waiting for the ceremony to begin it went from drizzle to downpour. The commencement address speaker, Muhammad Yunus "won the Nobel Peace Prize for his development of microlending and for his work in alleviating global poverty." (The MIT Tech) His address was amazing about our social responsibility to help others instead of just an individual pursuit of wealth. He was incredible. His demeaner was so casual yet respectful. He started out by saying, "I am from Bangladesh, and there we have monsoons. So I feel right at home." No one had yet made a snarky remark about the weather (except the thousands of attendees).

still smiling

We were within spitting distance of MIT Prez Susan Hockfeld (don't worry, we didn't actually try it)

12:38 (almost 4 hours later) Cort is the only one left smiling

this was our attempt at taking a photo of him getting his diploma -- too wet!

4:30pm warm home dry home pictures

what an important piece of paper!! Children, don't spill orange juice on... they reprint these things, right??

Just kidding -- would my angels try a stunt like that???

is it just me, or is Claire asking, "What are YOU lookin' at?"
