Went private

Well, I'll admit it. I had pipe dreams of being the next dooce -- a stay at home mom making a million dollars in ad money writing little quippy blog posts in her copious free time. But as the years have progressed, I realize that this blog is mostly a cherished keepsake photo album of those nearest and dearest to me. And I realized that I blog not to gain fame and fortune, but to keep ties with those that are far from us, that don't get to see the first steps, the special smiles and the sweet moments. So I have invited you to be part of this wonderful keepsake, so I hope you'll stay with me. And I know going private is a pain -- logging in every time you want to see the blog -- but as I looked over our summer of fun pictures over the last few days, I just realized that these images are precious and personal and I only want those I know and love to be part of this special view finder into our lives. So thanks for going through the trouble of joining and hope you'll sit down and stay a while! Wish I could have you over, make some yummy food, and visit with you in person. But I have to think this is a pretty good runner up to the real thing.

The picture Jenny took of Claire (close up with the hat) is amazing! Beautiful girl and great photo.

Cory,
Thanks for including me into your personal life-peeks. Parents know all to well the pain of distance brought about by the successful launch of charished children. Love to your family!!
