This is Elliot on the shuttle to the Grand Canyon (15 minute ride). This pretty much summed up how we all felt -- 8 hours into our trip home, still had 5 hours to go. Ai ai ai -- the Grand Canyon is NOT safe for little girls who don't like to hold hands.
You can see how nervous this walk could make a nervous mother like me. We looked out at the points for about an hour before I got tired of yelling about how we need to be holding hands.
gorgeous pics! I think I have similar fears- just looking at your photos made me cringe a little imagining keeping my kids away from the edge. i remember freaking out with my little brothers going places like that as a kid. Looks like a fabulous vacation with great weather! jealous.
My mom still talks about how poorly guarded the cliffs of the Grand Canyon are and how she kept having a heart attack when we would get close to the edge. We only went that one time. I don't even really remember it, but have heard my mom say that about 1000 times. So, I am not dying to take my own kids there - Unless I duct tape them to me.
